Top Out: Skyscraper Climb

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what information the virtual reality game Top Out: Skyscraper Climb ("the game") uses, why, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible

The game is made and published under the name Driment Studio by Jakub Broda, a private individual based in Poland ("we", "us"). Jakub Broda is responsible (the data controller) for the information described in this policy. Contact: drimentstudio@gmail.com.

In short: the game keeps your progress on your headset, and uses Meta's platform services on Meta Quest for checking that you own the game, for achievements and for leaderboards. We run no servers, analytics, advertising or accounts of our own, and the game makes no internet connections of its own.

1. What the game stores on your headset

The game saves on your headset: the floors you reached, your best times, achievements and their progress, the hidden trophies found, the total distance fallen and your settings (comfort, controls, volumes, language). This save never leaves your device and we do not receive it. Clearing the game's data or uninstalling the game deletes it.

To play, the game reads the position of your headset and controllers and your controller buttons, in real time and only on the headset. It does not record or send them. The game does not use the microphone, cameras, eye tracking or hand tracking.

2. What the game uses from Meta's platform

On Meta Quest the game uses Meta's platform services (the Meta Horizon Platform SDK). Meta provides them under its own Privacy Policy (https://www.meta.com/legal/privacy-policy/). Through them the game uses:

- Your user ID (an identifier Meta issues for this game only): to record your achievements and your leaderboard entries with your Meta account.

- Your user profile (your Meta display name): to show you and other players by name on the game's leaderboard.

- Your followers (the people you are connected with on Meta Horizon who also own the game): to show a friends leaderboard next to the global one.

- Achievements: the achievements you unlock and their progress, so they appear in Meta Horizon.

- Leaderboards: when you climb the whole tower from the ground with a new best time, that time is submitted to the game's leaderboard with your user ID. Other players can see your display name, rank and time.

- Entitlement check: when the game starts, Meta confirms that your account owns the game.

The game uses this information only on your headset, while you play, for the features above. It does not store your user ID or display name in its save. We can see the game's leaderboard entries and aggregate statistics (for example sales and usage numbers) in Meta's developer tools. We do not receive your e-mail address, real name, contacts, location, payment details, voice or camera images.

Legal basis: we use this information to provide the game and the features you use in it (Article 6(1)(b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).

3. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your information, and we use no data processors or service providers for it. The only parties involved are Meta, which runs the platform services above, and other players, who see your display name and best time on the leaderboard.

We disclose information to public authorities only where the law requires it. We review each request for its legality, challenge it where we consider it unlawful, disclose only the minimum information necessary, and document every request together with our response.

4. How long the information is kept

- The save on your headset: until you clear the game's data or uninstall the game.

- Your user ID and display name in the game: only while the game runs.

- Achievements and leaderboard entries: Meta keeps them with your Meta account for as long as the game is available, unless you ask us to delete them (below) or delete your Meta account.

5. Your rights and deleting your data

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To use them, write to drimentstudio@gmail.com with your Meta display name.

- On your headset: clear the game's data or uninstall the game to delete your save.

- Leaderboards and achievements: we delete your leaderboard entries and reset your achievement progress for this game through Meta's developer tools within 30 days of your request, and confirm it to you.

- Your Meta account: manage or delete it through Meta (https://www.meta.com/help/).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland it is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, https://uodo.gov.pl/); you can also contact the authority of the EU country where you live.

6. Children

The game is intended for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. Meta does not let users under 13 use its platform's social features, such as leaderboards. If you believe a child under 13 has used the game's online features, contact us and we will delete their leaderboard entries and achievement progress.

7. Changes

If the game starts using information in a new way, or the game moves to a company, we will update this policy and its date before that version of the game is released.
